Mk V Golf/Jetta owners - How long did you wait for your car?

We've ordered a Mk V Golf Estate and are unlikely to receive it until November or December. Considering it was ordered in April that's a long wait for a pretty common car.

The dealer cannot even tell me what week the car is due to be built. Yet I went into another VAG dealer and the sales rep could tell me there and then the build week and delivery date for the car I inquired about.

Jetta on fleet took yonks, 7 months or thereabouts.

They are made in Mexico hence the delay, not sure where Golf estate is made though.

The Golf Estate = Jetta SportWagen and is also made in the factory in Mexico. Dealer is going to give us a 'relief' car to tide us over until the new one arrives. Good thing too as I have someone waiting to buy my old Audi.
