Steering wheel judder.

Hi all.

I've got a Scimitar SE 6a, the front suspension is very similar to a TR6 (but heavier), double wishbones, coil overs.

I get a quite violent steering wheel judder, but only when braking whilst turning right. I can't find anything amiss, do these symptoms suggest anything?

I've got AVOs (adjustable for rate not height) and polybushes.

Does it do it under all braking conditions (heavy? light?) or only sometimes? Sounds like interaction between the bushes and a worn link somewhere?

Just heavy-ish. I think it eats polybushes for breakfast. I've been replacing them after two years.

Sounds to me like the bushes are too stiff. Has it always done ot when using Polybushes? If so, I'd try a softer grade to see if that helps....

Nah, it's a new thing. I think I'm going to go back to rubber.

Had this on the Mundano. Disks were 25% corroded across their surface. I think this was due to the disks being replaced then doing hundreds of motorway miles without bedding the brakes in properly.

I'm getting a similar problem, but only under heaving braking, regardles of wether the wheel is turned or not.

Am I right in thinking this means, new discs?

Well, it might do, but wouldn't warped discs do it all the time?
