I had a chat to him in the Sainsburys car park a few weeks ago (I'm also in Banbury). He's often parked outside that eatery.

I also keep seeing a blue supercharged CV8 in Banbury (well, twice anyway). Is that you?

Hi Adam,
The blue CV8 is mine, I too live in Banbury.
3 Monaros in Banbury, we are honoured! I only had it blown last month....

Ahh, I didn't realise you were local when we were chatting via the email. Small world!

The restaurant it's usually parked outside (if it's the same car that is!) used to be called Fabio's, an Italian eatery, just by the pelican crossing at St. Mary's church. I used Banbury as a base for about 12 years up til 2006. Fabios was destroyed by fire about 12-18months ago immediately after it'd been completely modernised inside!

You'll see me there around 2 or 3 times a year visiting friends & staying in the Cromwell Lodge whilst visiting Monkfish.

Was that the Wroxton House hotel (Best Western) with the thatched roof? I stay there a lot with my work. Excellent hotel and VFM (£50 on-line). One of the best dinners as well and I see a lot...lick

certainly was Ron though it cost me nearer 80 quid a night for one of their "superior" rooms - not convinced that was what I ended up with mind you, room and fittings were more than a little "tired", restaurant food was a bit too exotic for my taste so ended up eating off the bar menu the one night we ate there. Found a cracking pub down in the middle of the village for the Sunday night dinner.

Admittedly the rooms can be variable there, I think I've been in most of them. If you're lucky, there are some unusual and unique rooms.
