Just wondering if anyone else has tried using this? I started using it a few weeks ago as I was out of shaving foam and remembered that I had this in my travel bag for emergencies. At first I was really skeptic as it whether or not it was any good and then tried it.

only 5-6 drops of this stuff and its the closest shave I have ever had! Stuff using loads of foam or gel its just like rubbing water onto your face and you can see where your shaving as well which is handy.

So anyone tried using this?

It comes in a little plastic thing that looks like this:

Haven't KOS shaves brought out a nifty new razor recently?

Yep, used it in the past. It takes a bit of getting used to (you don't need very much at all) but it's great - produces a really good close shave.

I hate it, it really gunks up the razor. Much prefer a good foam applied with a brush.

It's good, but it's not a patch on using traditional shaving soap applied with a brush

It's horrible! I persevered with the oily feel for a week and binned it. It feels like spreading 3 in 1 oil on your chin.

The gel they make is the best though!

ETA isn't it about £5 for 100mls almost as much as BMW charge for M3 oil - not a bad business to be in eh?!

ETA

its £5 for 60g of the stuff - truly black gold - Brown will probably tax it next

I've found it really good. Close, comfortable shave. It looks expensive, but seems to go on forever. Also good if you travel a lot, comes in under the 100ml allowance in your hand luggage!

BTW It doesn't clog if you have one of those "turbo" shavers!

I really like the lime foam. Might be king of shaves or could be gilette??? I can't remember the brand. Smells great though.

Shave in the shower, not used anything lubricant in years.
Closest shave you'll ever get.

Do you not need a mirror? I hope we are still talking faces here!

A bottle that size lasts well over 6 months too! More like 9-12 if you use it sparingly (as you should). Some oils definitely work better than others though.

Nope, just whip round feeling where stubble is left. Maybe a quick glance and once over in the mirror immediately after switching shower off, just to check no missed bits. All foams and oils do is keep the water on the hair which softens it and makes is easier to cut, they're not actually meant to smooth the blade travel at all....so skip that and use direct water instead...plus the constant shower flow keeps blades free of hair.

Shave for me is literally 2 mins long, if that...amazed at other people taking aaaaages.

I do that too, but there is the odd occasion where you get to work and notice with horror in the lifts mirror that you have missed a bit.

KOS gel is by far the best IMO.

Great stuff, not used anything else for years.

Best lubricant is your own sweat - shave in a steam room with a couple of drops of oil, magic. A chin like glass for two days!

I've been using "Real Shaving Co" Cream, along with Wilkinson Sword Quattro
isnt too bad and you have to clean the blade after every stroke.

But still think theres better, asked a mate of mine what he uses and was the basic Gilette but doesnt have to shave for 3days as hes had some injections. Apparently to stop his face going red, but side effect is less shaving.

I have been using this for a few years now, gives you a superb shave. However not quite as good as when I use the cut throat razor.
Mach 3 + KOS oil = great shave, simple & quick
Cut throat razor + KOS shaving gel = awesome shave but takes me ages to do

It is good stuff and way better for travel. I like the cheapo alternative that Sainsburys do though, bigger bottle and about a third of the cost.
