My 02 Mondeo door are rusting which is surprising really - but hay..
Ford have rejected one door because it's been repaired before - no idea who by which is annoying - although there body shop has said the skin hasn't been repaired.
The warranty book says the following - buy what does that actually mean?
To enjoy continued protection … Any accident damage must be repaired using genuine Ford parts of parts of matching quality and preferably by a Ford Accident Repair Centre

Thanks
Dan

Thanks - I'll feel I'll need it.
Out of interest in layman's terms what is the clinched flange protection? I assume that it's the door seal.

Hm, I was hoping it wasn't that as that's what someone (no not me) has repaired at some point (only part of it) and now the fount of the door skin is rusting.
Ford are saying as I cannot prove it's been done at a ford garage that there not prepared to touch it.

I would say it's down to them to prove it wasn't? Ask to see the warranty record for the car wink

Looks like your having fun as well - the thing I find the most annoying is that they have very little control (and in some cases knowledge) of anything - I had to speak to 3 ppl before getting anywhere and in the end I wrote a letter as it was easier.
