Goodwood has a breakfast meet, as does the Ace Café. There hasn’t been anything similar up North, until now.

Sunday October 19th sees the inaugural Yorkshire Big Breakfast Meet to be held at Specialist Cars of Malton, meeting at 9am. It is anticipated different groups (Porsche Club GB, Pistonheads, TIPEC etc) will organise runs out ending up at Malton so keep an eye on the forums.

Malton is on the edge of some of the best driving roads in the North, and on the A64 (links with the A1 / M1) for anyone needing to make a quick exit home afterwards.

A complimentary breakfast awaits those attending. There is ample free parking, a chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones plus see some exotic machinery including those at the venue, Specialist Cars of Malton.

We are wanting to make this a regular event for the North so hope as many as possible can make it.

A quick update, due to unprecedented demand and people coming from all over the country we have decided to make this a brunch event and keep the catering on from the 9am start till the afternoon.

Its not a proposed event any more, it is going ahead on the 19th.

It has been discussed on the regional fora of PH, 911uk, DDK, PCGB, boxanet, plus I understand the lotus owners are coming.

...with all the best intention in the world I was meant to be there but sadly my birthday celebrations took over and I was in no fit state at 9am this morning.

Really chuffed it was a good turn out and I hope its a sign of things to come. I used to attend the Brekkie Club meets at Goodwood when I lived darn sarf so it's great that John & Mark are trying to do something oop North, especially that its only 5mins from home, so I look forward to the next one.

On a final note, it was great to see some nice Porkers on the road this weekend, obviously dusting down for today.

Spotted:

Yellow 996 cab with fruity zorst at The Stone Trough on Saturday
Emarald/Graphitte grey RUF 993 Turbo also at The Stone Trough on Sat. (stunning car & colour)
White 993 RUF between Brompton and Snainton today
Silver 996 C2 with trade plates - as above.
Numerous Boxsters.
