Nice hotel to stay at North of London

I'm taking my missus away for Saturday night for our wedding anniversary. We've got to be in Finchley in London on the Sunday for Lunch. Knowing PH to be a place of impeccable taste I wondered whether anyone had a suggestion for somewhere within say an hour and a half drive on North London. We'd like a kind of country house type affair or somewhere with a nice dining room.

Might I suggest a fantastic 4 star hotel smack in the middle of London? Stayed there last December for the Led Zep concert just down the river (and we took the boat to the O2). Superb quality in every aspect, and approximately £150 a night for two with an amazing breakfast menu included.
