Right ho, the results are in!
First a bit of background. Pre rebuild SRR rated my car 2 years ago at 403bhp, but over time, as the engine was going south, it dropped to about 385bhp (tested just before Fighting Torque 2007). My car is running (as I understand it, you know I dont understand when people get technical with me) standard compression, standard cams and has had no headwork done. Just your bog standard 4.5AJP with Austec MBE map, ACT short induction and ACT big bore, decatted sports exhaust.
1000 miles after running in the car put down a slightly disappointing 396bhp, but Paul told me to put some more miles on it to let the engine free up, so another 1200 miles went on the clock and took it back to Austec 2 weeks ago for a tweak of the map and the car popped in a 401 before any fettling.
As Harry mentioned, whilst mapping his car Paul has learnt some new things/techniques, so Paul then worked his magic over the next hour or so on my car, with me hopping around outside the RR booth like an expectant father. Up pops 421.7bhp

Now, not wanting to get embroiled in a bun fight over whose RR is best/correct, Ive sat tight lipped until Uncle Chuckles could fit me in at SRR, which, as you know, I finally managed to do today (Cheers Charlie
)
Anyway, Charlie had a couple of cracks at the car, whilst he did manage to get 424bhp reading we agreed to settle on the graph below as it showed slightly better torque.
Headline figures:
At the fly: 421.3bhp
At the wheels: 343.5bhp
Torque: 380lbs

To be honest, the figures are a bonus. The way the car drives is the key to remaps IMO. Its now almost as smooth as my Audi
and I didnt think it was bad before!
So, big thanks again to Paul for his work and Charlie for the RR.
Buns at the ready

Yes Graham. Im not sure how much faster it actually is but it FEELS much faster. And the new throttle cable I had fitted yesterday seems to make it even snappier
No idea Tim, but I do know Charlie put me on his 'wall of shame' today and the only TVR graph in front of me was Harry's
...but waaaaay behind the 950bhp graph of a Vauxhall Monaro
