Having real trouble getting hold of R888s - 225/40/18 and 255/40/18.

Seems that for some reason TOYOY aren't supplying anyone at the moment.

Whats the next best equivalent...

ie soft rubber, great traction - shortish longevity downside.

Cheers

Good afternoon,

I have finally got through to someone at Toyo and bad news i'm afraid, i have been told that there is a severe fault with the compound of the tyre and that they are now not going to release here. They are withdrawing all merchandising for it and removing it from the new catologues. . . .Sound pretty serious to me. . as soon as i find out more i will post it.

Well the rep says the tread was like chewing gum and there had been some 'large problems' which at a guess i would say the tread has disintigrated at speed - its got to be hugely serious for them to just suddenly withdraw it.

Not looking too good then for the R1R, I wonder if 'monster' has any news as I understand they have a line into Toyo too confused

Yeah, tried them and they have been waiting for around 2 weeks with no supply from Toyo.

Seems Toyo aren't making tyres?
