Got onto a train in Wales today and had with me a bottle of Fanta I'd purchased from the little shop on the station.

Some while later I was idly staring at the label on the bottle. It said 'Fanta' in the middle. Yep, that was fine. As expected. Then my eyes strayed to the word beneath. It didn't make any sense. I read it again. It still didn't make sense. It was made of letters, but they didn't make a word. It wasn't Welsh either. The word was 'ane^bCUH'. Spend a moment trying to match it to list of known words in brain. Nope. OK, skip that, try another word. Top left of label - another word. This one says 'COKOM'. I check the Fanta word again. Thank god it still says 'Fanta'.

OK, so this must be a multilanguage product...and if I turn the bottle round, it'll be English on the other side, right?... nope, that says 'ane^bCUH fanta COKOM' as well.

The bloody thing is 100% Russian!

What on earth is Russian Fanta doing in Llanelli?

Rant Alert:
How comes this loony government are bringing in rules to have a list of ingredients stamped on your fast food burgers which people know are full of st anyway, having it next to every meal on restaurant menus even in cafes.Goes on about yer carbon footprint, yet you can import stuff, (which is also produced here anyway) and sell it without having a word of English on it.
Perhaps next step will be to put ingredients in every damn language, might struggle on a can of Fanta!

You can't - at least, not legally.

Lol, could well have been. I only knew it was pepsi from the can colour.

Family, unfortunately. Cousin got into trouble and had to hide in deepest Wales. Six hours door to door. Rail may have been £60 cheaper than car, but by God it was hellish.

How long have 'foreign' countries had signs printed in English, or have happily handed out an English menu? We've been behind for a long time in terms of an empire, even longer in terms of a prominent language, and its been about 5 decades since we were at the forefront of technology (after 30 years behind). Unless you want Fanta flown in from the US with their evil warmongering mind control water wink, you have to accept it being printed in other languages belonging to larger countries that are currently experiencing industrial growth and increasing demand, so learn Cyrillic or destroy the rediculous green movement and have factories in each country again.

Haha, I've got it on in that very train station.

How was your visit to Llanelli? What's that you say, you got stabbed? You got lucky pal, I lost a leg last time I was down there.
