Hi,

Can anyone recommend me a nice, high quality hotel in Cornwall, doesnt matter where really as long as it has close sea views.

Many thanks

Hotel Tresanton in St Mawes is really nice from what I've heard from family and friends who have stayed there.

The Carlyon Bay Hotel near St. Austell was very nice, spent 4 nights there last year.
Not cheap but we had 2 rooms. Worth a look.

The Lugger

Very nice. Well, last time I was there a good few years ago. Not sure what it is like now but location superb.

And one in Porthleven. On the Harbour. Have to google it. Accommodation very nice.

Port Gavern Hotel. Good ale, good food and lovely cliff top walks. Can get a bit busy with 'luvvies' when they are filming that Doctor thing next door in Port Isaac.

Went to the lugger last year and had a great time. Very quite boutique hotel in a small fishing village.

We stay at Tresanton every year for an autumnal break and it is superb. Best hotel in the country outside of the London specials IMO.

Odd - I was flicking channels the other day and found an old episode of Poirot that seemed to be set in that hotel...

I can recommend the Headland Cottages at the Headland Hotel.

http://www.headlandcottages.co.uk/

(I know it's not a hotel but there is one right next door and the cottages are really nice).
