OK, so I've been silently following the Gallardo threads for a few months as part of my logical analysis of the pros and cons of ownership (TVR owner so I appreciate the ups and downs). Anyway, test drove one last week and all logic went out of the window. What a car!! Loved it. So after a good 15-20 minutes thought I made it happen.
I'm picking her up (05 Manual Black with Black Wheels) on Friday evening and I'm concerned about my driving ability given recent lack of sleep.
Anyway all, this is just a heads-up. You'll be seeing me a fair bit as I will no doubt want to share the experience with whoever will listen and you'll probably see lots of neurotic new owner questions on here soon. Please be patient with me.
So very grateful that I have the chance to own a car like this.
I only hope the sense of awe on these cars never leaves.

my copy came to me with lots of 'extra' stuff so your copy might have looked the same...

I can confirm that our pre-reserved hotel rooms for 13 September are all full at this time - any extra bookings will have to be based on whatever rooms are still available from the hotel itself - we can chase them if needs be and if at all possible get the first refusal on any cancellations but as ever, first come would be first (eventually) served!
Costs for that will be discussed if you want to go that route...
If you want to come to the Sunday element of the weekend then getting to the hotel by 10.00am on 14 September in your Gallardo / bit of 'owt else is a must. The cost into Gaydon with 'refreshments' and lunch are £15 per-person - we have ordered 80 places for that but can add more from today until a very late point (NOT post 17.00 on 12 September) as we can only add a maximum of 10% more than pre-booked before the that point...
So: - tdm76 + sig. other + Gallardo - for just Sunday = £30 ... and a mugging to get you into LCUK and a ragging for not joining sooner than er, say 1976???
If you join the Club on the day or even before the weekend you will get to make your vote for the best Lamborghinis there - and perhaps even get a certificate for your car based on it being any one of a number of possible things like 'most fly spattered', 'loudest exhaust noise', 'most speeding tickets this year' or 'most viola Diablo Roadster' or 'yellowest Diablo 6' or 'most ungreen green car'... or... or...
... Gallardo ... black 'n' black ...
PS: and yes... the sense of occasion when driving / owning / messing about with any Lamborghini rarely goes away!!
