Just travelling back home from work and i saw something that i didnt think that i would ever see.

A Motorcyclist travelling along at 30mph in a 40 limit, (no that wasnt it), riding 'all over the road'.
As i overtook, you never guess what he was doing?

silly as it sounds, its getting popular, I came across a company the other day promoting a product to grip your phone on the steering yoke of your bike...to aid texting on the move..

my pal, when he wants us to stop for a drink, drops his leg over side saddle style, pulls a wheelie, and wheelies past you pulling a "drinking tea" movement with the one hand he isnt using to wheelie with.

Some people got the skill I guess? I must get a photo of that, just to prove it, its quite jaw dropping.

Well the usual question that comes around now in these topics is.....

Did one of those 'safety cameras' manage to catch him?

No, he went past one at under the limit, but only because he wasnt looking at anything other than texting.

Not quite the same, but related - I saw a guy with a girl riding pillion goinh through Clapham Common in London, and she had hitched her obviously ill fitting helmet right up and was yacking on her mobile!

As a bike rider myself, I was absolutely astonished at this. Not to mention the fact that she has wearing cotton trousers and a tee-shirt!

Complete muppet - not her, but the guy for carrying her pillion in this way.

THIS IS SLIGHTLY RUDE - DO NOT READ IF EASILY OFFENDED!

Well, with his glove off I thought it might have been something else he was doing! I've seen a car driver doing 'that' from the elevated (but not elevating) cab of a lorry in a traffic jam.

And that calls to mind an incident related to me by a Senior Casualty Officer of a large A&E unit. Two victims of an RTA had been brought in, both dead but needing that certified. The car in which they had been travelling had left the road at high speed until stopped by a large tree. The houseman directed the SCO's attention to the groin area of the male driver where he had very recently lost some weight. He then directed the SCO's attention to the lady passenger's ... Oh! I see you are way ahead of me!

A year or two ago I heard about a fatal RTA on Brighton Seafront, the theory was that the driver was disracted by the passengers who were doing the business on the rear seat.
