This really takes the biscuit. No longer are the BBC using irony and well hidden subtext to flaunt their love of Nu Labia. Instead they just get their top political 'commentators' to just come out and say it!

And let's not get started on Matt Frei and Justin Webb on the US Elections - basically Palin should fk off home and look after her kids. I don't pay my licence fee to give these guys a platform to voice their wet-lefty opinions - why do they bother anyway? Who the fk cares.

I must admit I was surprised by the Evan Davis article.

I am also pig sick of the American Elections.
I do not get to vote in these elections, so please just tell me who won it afterwards, and put some proper news on instead.

It's just lazy reporting and a cheap and easy way to fill the news slots.

The most disgusting piece of journalism I have ever read:

"This was an un-dogmatic, accessible Sarah Palin - the conservatism hovering in the background, visible in the presence of her Downs syndrome child, the child she insisted on having despite her knowledge of his disability."

From http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7597351....

Is the most powerful, public-funded media body in the UK suggesting that Down-syndrome babies would be better killed and thrown away before birth?

Any attack on the Right possible, however distasteful....

I'm in two minds about this... Much as I hate the left I would rather politicians told the truth.

Confused!

I think this can be read either way. Personally, I saw it as a positive comment that she had the baby, rather than suggesting that the alternative would have been the preferable approach.

In reality it was probably a finger at her anti-abortion stance. Badly worded though, and also suggests to me the BBC think 'you had it, so stay at home and deal with it'.
