My PS3 is dead
Discussion
Well it's 10.00, thought to myself can't be bothered to put a film on, crap tv, lets play the ps3, bit of mindless hooliganism on gta4 would cheer me up!
Switch on and get a problem with loading message, get in to the dashboard and the disk doesn't even show
Looks like the cd drive has died.
Still in warranty but still not very good, it has an easy life, usually only has one disk in for months at a time, probably has had the same amount of use over 10 months as most people put on in 2 months.
Not impressed. Hope they don't mess me around on sorting it out.

Well I rang game up this morning.
Guy was brilliant. Said straight off the 60gig wasn't produced anymore, and the 40 and 80 gig aren't backwards compatible. Asked if that was an issue and if so it would probably need to go back to Sony. Truth be told although I bought the 60 to play ps2 games I haven't.....Not even once.
So agreed to take it in and swap it for an 80 gig model.
That's excellent service, I was expecting to have to go back for repair.
