Impounded Cars, You got them back yet?

It's been a few months since a few of you had your cars impounded when speeding.
I know a guy we were camping next to 'nearly' had his 360 impounded and was instead handed a heafty fine and date in september to return to court. I also remember an R8 being impounded amoungst others.
Just being nosey and wondering if you got the cars back etc etc.

The knob-end who travelled with our group is going off to get his car back soonish.
On the spot fine of 750 Euro and car impounded for three months, with a court appearance to coincide with the collection date.
Rumour has it they've got him by the balls - can't collect his car until he's been to court and paid any outstanding fines, plus the old bill will have storage charges for the car to be settled.
There's a moral in there somewhere - oh yes, "Don't drive like an utter anus in France and then try and argue with the police about the rights & wrongs and fairness of their attitude"

I can't wait to see how this turns out. I might even go along myself and sit in the public gallery!

If he hadn't been such a cock after he was stopped, he might have got to keep his car, and then he might not have had to spend all weekend trying to bum a lift back - all his travelling companions were in two seater cars...

You'll be the first to know...Reclaim day and court date is next week some time, I believe.
He got done on 12th June, impounded for three months, and somebody mentioned a court date of 19th Sept, I think.

Problem is, it is his missus' car and needs it back.

Case now heard. The prosecutor got very animated as Dan's lawyer has argued the point over the fact it's not his car and should not have been taken. Prosecution not happy at all over this as it means the state will have to pay the storage.
The case before Dan's was for higher speed and he didn't attend so they've put it back until November ! First lesson, make sure you attend, say sorry and hope to get your car back as otherwise you'll end up paying even more storage charges.
Interpreter has said Dan's lawyer has done a great job for him and they are going to giv e a decision today on his case which they do not have to do.
