Crankshaft pulley balanceing

I am fitting a timing wheel to my crankshaft pulley as part of my conversion to use an Emerald ECU on my 400SE. I have been told I will need to rebalance the crankshaft pulley. Does anyone have any view on whether this is really necessary, or any idea where I might get it done in the North East?

Unless your new timing wheel has been made badly or is hewn from iron then you won't need to re-balance. Hows the rest of the Emerald installation going, contact me if you want a starter map.
