For the sake of all those American (me) or not and just out of the loop of message board acronyms, please, due tell what the following mean.

And of course, others would be keen to take involvement in their own questions of such...

HO or is it OH? (it was referenced in regards to a mans wife I suppose)
EFA

EFA - edited for accuracy

(usually to defame OP)

(OP - original poster)

ETA (edited to add): NB (nota bene) - you mean 'Acronyms in PistonHeads'. The only acronym of 'PistonHeads' is 'PH' smile

Those are not acronyms, they are initialisms. Acronyms are new words made up usually from the first letters of each word of a phrase or name to make a new, pronounceable word such as 'LASER' - Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation or 'NATO' - North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, whereas initialisms are simply the initials of a phrase or name which do not produce a new, pronounceable word such as OH, BBC or LED.

PH - pedantry matters! nerd

Oh, are you sure about that, or am I just easily led?

Ok I'll grant you BBC and I know I spelt 'lead' wrongly, and I know that when used in their original contect we don't pronounce them that way, but OH and LED do form pronouncable words, (and in fact my hardware guy does sometimes pronounce L.E.D as 'led').

My friend, from one joke to another smile , have you any idea how many reposts there must be on every message board? Sometimes old posts can be rekindled to include new members and the such.

Now, go eat some pie and ham and L.M.B < figure this initialism out! smile LOL

If you read it again in context you may detect some quick humour. Unless you suffer from irony deficiency...
