hp and torque

According to vauxhall the vz Monaro has 354 ps or 350 hp, and produces 369 lb of torque.
are these accurate figures,?
Will a re-map and cat back really give it 400 hp and 400 lb of torque ? or is this just a bit of hot air ?
Honest answers only...of course.

Broadly speaking gains this big are rare but not unheard off. I depends how badly the engine has been stifled to begin with and how asthmatic it is.

Specifically I am sure Ringram et al will be along shortly with a more accurate figure smile

my VZ CV8 dynoed 379 fwhp with a wortec sport pac (remap and exhaust). Don't get too excited as you can hardly tell the difference; sounds good though.

Yeah have a look at the dyno numbers from the recent dyno day. You can pick up some power, but the difference stock to tunes isnt huge unless you spend big bucks on things like superchargers, or uprated engine components etc.
