Gear selection
Discussion
Hi all
I have an S2 111S (K series VVC one) and I've noticed that gear selection is a little notchy/stiff. It doesn't feel like a linkeage issue and it's possible that I'm just getting picky as I get used to the car. It also gets worse when the car is in traffic and has got hot.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience of changing the gearbox oil before the C service or using any additives to help smooth things a little.

I'm sure its nothing to worry about, and more than likely to do with the linkage.

yes you can fit it yourself if you have some ramps and a jack, some patience and dont mind getting your hands mucky ...its can be quite fiddly to get adjusted correctly if you havnt done a few before, so you may end up in the car, try the gears, back out of the car etc...all afternoon
personally I just prefer to pay £50 labour and save the hassle
