New 2 me E320 CDI.

Hi All,
Just bought an E320 CDi - 2005 Avantgarde - so far, so good.
Enjoy the relax cruising, feeling quite grand - if a little grown up... I do forget I'm getting on a bit...feels allot wider then anything I've owned before, the boot is huge.... anyway a few questions I hope someone can answer.

1) Only got one key with the car.
Anyone have a rough idea of the cost of one from Mercedes?
If I get one on EBay - how much to programme them?

2) Command.
Not yet tried to play too much with the command system, as link below, but if I get the latest DVD can I do 8 digit postcodes or does it just updates the maps?

Is there a way to update the POI's with safety cameras?

3) Isofix.
Car is fitted with kid’s booster seats. Does the car have Isofix, if so where are the anchorage points? I can't see feel anything. (I have never seen Isofix before - so I have no idea what I'm looking for).

4) Comfort.
Does the car have heated seats as standard? If it's an option how can I tell if I have it? Where is the button? Also the air con button says AC off and the red light comes on. Is this designed to have air con on at the start and off is unusual therefore it’s warning?

Appreciate any answers even if these appear to be noddy questions, cheers.

Really good cars - a Brabus chip can always liven things up at a later date

1. Not sure on the keys
2. COMAND is not possible to enter full postcode regardless of nav disc at the moment.
3. Isofix - you would be able to find the anchorage points if you had them. I think the booster seats delete the option.
4. Heated seats are an option. If it has heated seats, the buttons are 3 stage and below the COMAND unit at the far left and right of the switch panel.

Keys are about £140.

Ebay ones cannot be programmed apparently.

Enjoy the motor though, nice cars.

The lower button's for the cooling fans in the seats.

Hi, I have a very similar car to you! 55 plate 5 speeder Avantgarde with Command.


1. Same problem for me, I haven't enquired as to cost but suspect it will be muchas $$

2. No, it's a painj isn't it? It just updates the maps. I was quoted £120 at the last service to get the new nav disc.

3. No, if you can't feel them they're not there. It was a £40 option from new and I can';t believe it weasn't standard! My car doesn't have them, if i'd known i wouldn't have bought it!

4. It should as an avantgarde. The buttons are on the main dash panel, at the bottom, above the flappy bit that covers the cig lighter. Yes, trun ac off and that gives the red light. default is on and set to auto.
