New out in the cinema or any films?

Nothing great out recently. If you're looking for a classic why not 'The Wickerman' with Christopher Lee. Great horror film imho.

Watched '1408' the other night. John Cusack, paranormal sceptic & debunker, attempts to spend night in dodgy New York hotel room. Watch it on your own at about 1am. It comprehensively put the stters up me.

Session 9
George Romeros Dawn of the Dead and his original Night of the Living Dead
Dark Water (original, not the terrible American remake)
28 Days Later
The Descent
Acacia (Not really a horror film, but still a good creepy film)
The Orphanage. (Beautifully shot, another Del Torro masterpiece)
Candyman
Diary of the Dead.
The Exorcist.
The Mist (Astonishing ending)
Geoul sokeuro (Good fun, but a bit disposable)
Hellraiser (the first one)
Jacobs Ladder

Avoid:
Saw, Saw 2, Saw14 etc...
Hostel
Cabin Fever
All american remakes of Korean and Japanese horror movies.

Sorry. Should have read 'favourite horror film' I really like something that is quite believable.

The St. Francisville Experiment is a good one.

Me and the missus watched this ages ago. Started off very promising but the last hour or so we found utter dross, spoiled what was going to be a seemingly great film.

28 weeks later is poop, not a patch on the original.

I cant remember the last time i was actually shocked by a horror film.

FEAR the game was bloody scary, had nightmares for weeks while playing it. Whenever i walked down a dark corridor that little girl
was always in my peripheral vision, scary.

Yep.

Watched it the other night for the umpteenth time and it really is excellent.

Love the story, love the soundtrack, the scenery, the cast.

A really good film spoiled only by Britt Ekland's awful dubbed Scottish voice, but redeemed by her super breasts and her stunt double's most excellent bottom.

An American Werewolf in London is another superb horror film, also enhanced by the delicious Jenny Agutter.

And if you really want to watch vintage horror, then Quatermass and the Pit is excellent viewing.

Does anyone else remember The Ghoul, with John Hurt?

Alien also, but most people have seen that so often it's nothing new.

Hellraiser hasn't been on TV for ages either

Are you serious!! eek

White Noise was dire, utterly awful drivel, the sequel was even worse!

Agree on the original Halloween though!
