I've posted this in general gassing as well.

Click the link - http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l119/supahotrock...

It's a car from the current Sureterm direct ad and I'm trying to find out if it's a kit or some weird concept car. I love it and if it's buildable, I need to know!

All help appreciated.

If things haven't changed since I last spoke to them, the price isn't that big considering what you are getting.

If I hadn't decided to do the house, I'd have one of these on order frown

Even with the housing market in freefall, I think you've chosen the wiser investment!

The car appear only to exist as a set of CGI images on somebody's computer, and even if it didn't, the disclaimer on the website to say that it's built in Thailand and that the company doesn't take any responsibility for your local legislative requirements would be enough to scare me off!

...and the company appointed a Production Manager in 2006 yet apparently hasn't got any hardware, let alone a running prototype, to display yet? scratchchin

Blimey - didn't realise they'd gone so far backwards! Must admit I haven't kept tabs on development since I spoke to them, but when I did they were in the throws of getting the prototype ready for release. I'd checked the most pertinent legislative requirements which it appeared (on paper at least) to not have issues with. Shame as I think as a piece of conceptual work it ticked pretty much every box.

Well, I could be wrong - I'm just going on the fact that their website makes no mention of running hardware or progress on construction of a prototype, and shows nothing but lots of pretty CGI images.

... but on the other hand, did you see any evidence of the prototype they were 'readying for release', or was it just a telephone conversation?

We all know how many new 'supercar' projects are announced to the press each year, never to be heard of again - it would take a very brave (or pointlessly wealthy) man to put a deposit down on one, without a road test car to inspect!

No I didn't, was all just in the conversation. I agree totally on the road car perspective, an order would only have been subject to sight & drive, but I can honestly say it's about the only car that I have ever felt the urge to part with large amounts of cash for (other than a couple I can't and never will be able to afford hehe )

Mind you, that might not be so surprising, first time I knew of it was when someone pointed out my own design looked quite similar to it - so it did have a bit of a head start!

I had a good look around the site after being told what itis and if they build it and if it works I'm buying one. I love everything about it.

I mailed them and I'll let you know if they tell me anything interesting.

They must have changed design or project, because these guys are using the Arbitrage chassis

http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/04/new-bizzarrini-...

Rebodying that chassis with a Bizzarrini design makes for better marketing biggrin
