Hi, i'm looking to buy a T350c from Racing Green TVR and wondered if anyone has any experience of them? Are they a good dealer?

Agree with all above - had my Tuscan serviced there 3 yrs on the trot with no problems. Very friendly - Martin (dunno if still there) their chief engineer was extremely good

Bought my first TVR from them after searching long and hard for the right car. Chris Chevasco was the guy who held my hand through the whole thing. He promised to look after me and he did. I have been back a couple of times for the odd bits and bobs and they have been as good as gold everytime. They made me feel like part of the TVR gang so to speak.

I have recommended them to others at various meets and I will continue to recommend them.

You will always pay a bit extra from a dealer, but just look at what you get from Racing Green. They are proper TVR gurus!!! I will be going to them for my next TVR....thumbup

thanks all for feedback, i think i will go with them, i know i'm paying a bit more through them than a private sale, but would be more comfortable with them being the 'gurus' and giving warranty etc - presumably they'll set the car up properly before it's released...something i hear is pretty important... i'm looking at an 03 with 13000 miles, so hopefully will be a relatively safe bet...

i know the car i am looking at has had an improved rocker cover fitted (to improve oil flow?) and upgraded fingers - would this be anything to worry about? (not 100% sure of my engine-parts terminology so apologies if it's incorrect!)

I have said to RG many times - they are good enough to be an Aston Martin dealer ..

Yep Martin is still there and they are top people, great service and excellent work and have helped me out on a number of occasions with last minute notice, despite being really busy.

I went with my father to view a couple of TVRs last year at Racing Green.
We got there, we hadn't made an appointment as I was delivering that day so we just popped in. It wasn't busy.
I said I'd had a couple of TVRs before and was looking at options of where to spend my cash next so would like to have a look at a couple of different cars. They had some Tuscans, Griffiths and Chims, a sold T350C and a T350T.

To start with they seemed pretty helpful although none of the cars were very clean - apparently because they have a tip next door, which was fine, didn't mind.
I said could I have a look at the T350T as the T350C was sold (I was only interested in the C). He said in one sentence that it was pointless looking at the T as its sooo different inside(I questioned this) Yet when I really expressed interest in a T350 he said they were exactly the same inside...

We had a look around, and I asked if I could take a T350 and a Tuscan out to compare to a Chimaera which I'd already owned. They replied 'No. You need to book an appointment to take a car out' I thought hmmmm, not a great response and not one I expected from someone trying to sell cars. They weren't busy mind and they did have plenty of staff.

So I asked if I could look around a Tuscan. This also seemed to be a bit too much for them. They took a long long time getting the keys for it so in the end we left very pi55ed off and disappointed.

In contrast we then went on to Fernhurst in Sussex. We saw Drew and he couldn't have been more honest and helpful. Yes, you pay a little more from Fernhurst but you get a great service. I didn't buy from them as they just didn't have the right car for me but I would highly recommend them unlike Racing Green.

I live close to RG but happily drive further to TVR Barnet. TVR Barnet are good honest guys, on both the sales and service fronts, always plenty of time for people. They look after all their stock cars very well, they're always clean and under cover and are regularly run out to keep them ticking over. Would recommend them. Heard very good things about Fernhursts too.
