I was chatting with Stu last night and we decided it would be silly not to organise a little early morning Dawn Run as we are getting up early ... so we are.

The format will follow as previous and the start point will be the usual East Yorkshire filling up point. It will be about an hour and a half, maybe a bit more, around the wolds and NY Moors area.

We do not wish to offend anyone, but the pace, where allowed, will be brisk. We do not want anybody pushing their pride and joy to the limit trying to hang on. Nor do we want anybody who is not absolutely confident in their abilities holding other people up. We are sorry but, we have in the past had to cut runs short because of such things and it is simply not fair on the others who have dragged themselves out of bed in the early hours.

It will be the one that you thought it was last time but wasn't ... if you know what I mean!

Will it be just you or will your dad be coming too?

hello everyone this is my first post on PH!

i'm well interested in the pre dawn blast - just wondering as i have a 306 rallye - i'm confident of driving briskly but the question is would i keep up with the supercars.. would we have a fixed route at the start of the dawn blast or would it be going with the flow??

firstly welcome to the region! Your name promises alot, hope you can deliver!lol, get along to a meet soon and say hi! everyone is v.friendly!
This would perhaps not be the best first run out for you with us, from time to time more relaxed runs are organised which would be alot better for you to gauge the pace of run outs. obviously Al and Stu get to say yey or neigh but i had to push on in a similar powered car to yours to keep up and i dont think its unfair to say im pretty handy with a steering wheel and pedals....thing is the guys with the faster motors know how to use em too, dawn raiders tend to have serious metal and are not the type to not know how to throw them about in anger/playful carefree abandon!

Hi mate - nice motor... see my profile!

I've been on a few runs with this lot, both driving, and passengering. There tends to be a little bit of distinction between them - A few of the Sunday Afternoon drives have been great, lots of cars, the paces is quick but the wee 306 does fine - its certainly not a slow car, and the tighter the roads get the better the 306 is at hustling with thr big boys.

However, if its Burrian and Cronies leading - I wouldnt bother. I've been out as passenger on the Dawnraids too and its a little more engergetic. You will struggle in the Rallye, as its likely to be a gaggle of TVRS, 911's and LamboRaris, and if theres an open stretch its easy to get left behind or cause the group to get split up.

I'm sure, however that you will be most welcome at the meet at Specialist cars - I could even meet you and we could go for a little jaunt of our own then pop down and say Hello to everyone at 9am, if that sounds good... feel free to PM me...

Si.

Mark is that you? If it is then you have rolled over far too many cars to be allowed on a PH run hehe
