My car won it last year. Was there a loudest car competition this year and if so what won it?

Tuscan S6 BS02 TVR = 133.8 dB

T350c S6 JD03 TVR = 135.5 dB

Chim 5.0 T3 RWT = 128.0 dB

350i Wedge A845 NBW = 121.0 dB

Chim 4.0 J5 WCD = 124.8 dB

400 SE Wedge G959 TMB = 126.9 dB

S series (V6) E150 KUW = 115.9 dB

450 SE Wedge H89 XNW = 125.0 dB

350 SX Wedge F973 DCW = 130.5 dB

Chim 5.0 P386 XRG = 126.3 dB

So the title of 'loudest TVR at BNG 08' goes to that fantastically offensive T350c reg JD03 TVR..

Does anyone know what exhaust system the T350c had and how it had been set up?

I don't think it had any exhaust system on to be that loud laugh

I did hear someone say that a lot had been done to the engine tho'
so I am sure someone helpful will be along shortly

Dave i only reved my Tuscan up to 4500 revs as the oil was only up to 50 degrees if
i'd given it the works would it have registered more on the meter, but i was happy with second place.

Both cars with your pipes and both Track V Road cars what does that say.

Guys

Just for record, the results were taken in line with the exhaust at about 1 umbrella length from the tail pipe, not the usual 1m and 45 degrees. But all were measured consistantly so the T350 was comfortably the loudest on the day.

It really did sound fantastic, with me and Andy trying to talk to each other whilst stood behind.....

Loud is one thing, but good is equally as important. I heard the two loudest, and the winning T350 sounded best too.

The engine is a standard 3.6L. What makes it so loud is the design of the decat pipes coupled with a larger bore sports rear exhaust giving a deeper tone. You will also note that Micks Tuscan also has a deeper tone even though it is using CCC's.

I'll finally be modifying my Tuscan exhaust over these coming weeks to sound like no other. In theory, and on paper, the final result should have a similar sound to the T350 but not quite as loud. smile

Stop bickering Guys, I won fair and square shootmusic

To answer the rumours she has Daves infamous de-cat pipes (good work dave clap) and a JP sports exhaust. Thats it. No engines mods.

I'm looking at investing in some carbon fibre air intakes to give me the edge next year biggrin

I suppose you'll all be copying now rolleyes

Looking forward to a shouting match with the Lambo on the Breakfast meet, any bets??

I think I may be louder than RubyRed's T350. I also have NTEL's de-cat pipes and used to have the JP back box. I now have a straight through system with cherry bombs and it is way louder than NTEL's de-cat pipes + the JP back box set up - I'll be coming along next year to see.
