Wouldn't most companies stick you on some sort of "gardening leave" arrangement in the same situation?

Its about time. Frankly the way this AC has gone about things is atrocious, most notably given his rank and the damage it will have done to the Met in terms of morale etc

Time for Blair to go as well... a complete plank.

How can his claim for £1.2M be justified?

and I love the way people will just dismiss it without know sweet FA

I'd be surprised if he made such a claim without anything to back him up at all.

So you don't think it's taking the piss just a little... Discriminated against in terms of age, race and religion yet he's pretty much in the top job.

And people wonder why the indigenous population have had enough.

Its not exactly unheard of for asian people to play the race card at every given opportunity, no doubt he will succeed in getting some of his £1.2m.

Just how do they "allow" a black police officers federation but a white one would be a complete no-no?

More to the point what the hell as it got to do with the Black Police Association. He's not Black he's Asian.

Unless the rules have changed and we're allowed to lump anybody with a bit of colour in their skin together as a single entity again?
