Correct me if I'm wrong but there should be a fuel pump giving it pressure as you turn the key just before you fire her up...
Listen for it when you turn the ignition it should cycle a few seconds, or is that the power assisted steering?
Does the same thing really as pumping the peddle on a carbed motor.

Hi,
Sounds as if it's not a fuel pressure, but rather a fuel quantity issue. Bosche K-jetronic relies upon a 5th injector to increase the fuel quantity upon cold start-up. This is known as the cold start valve.
The cold start valve is triggered by a temperature sensor, which energizes the injector below 80°C.
I suspect that either the valve, the temp sensor or the wiring and/or relays connecting/controlling the two is errant. This is a notorious weak spot with K-jetronic.
You can run diagnostic tests of each of these things and correct the one(s) which are not operating to spec. This will most likely solve your problem. Happy Motoring! Jim '85TE
