I hate this world sometimes. Everyone in their cars seem to be looking for a fight. Even the women.

I live in a small village in East Sussex. Just got back from the school run. On the way, a geezer in a Metro cut the corner of our road and nearly hit us as we were coming out.He stopped, wound his window down and screamed abuse. If my son hadn't been there and it was a few years ago, I'd have got out of the car and had a barney, but of course you can't nowadays, because you'll get stabbed.

On the way home, I pulled onto a roundabout and a bloke in a van didn't see me and nearly went into me.
He went absolutely mental, smashing the inside of his roof and his steering wheel with his fist and screaming at my car.

WTF is going on? Has everyone been up taking crack all night?

Is it the recession (or whatever you want to call it ) turning everyone into an extra from a Mad Max movie?
The world seems to be looking for a fight. We moved out of London to get away from the looneys. But they've followed us. Are you one of them? What's it all about?

It has been getting steadily worse for as long as I can remember (which admittedly is only around 15 years) - I don't think anyone really understands the cause.

Let me guess.....you've never been in an accident, but you've seen loads in your mirrors?

On a serious note, I used to get involved in road rage, but now i try to laugh and rise above it all. fkers.

he was going to hit you from the side? in which case he had right of way and you stuffed up big time!

in all the road rage incidents i have enountered (which to be fair is only 1-2 a year), when i have looked at them carefully, 90% of the time i have done something that i shouldn't!

Nice one.

But seriously, if the two guys had met each other today, I reckon one of them would be dead now. My mate gave the v-sign to a guy in a BMW two yeras ago, and the bloke in a smart suit got out and stabbed him in the leg. Then drove off. At eight in the morning.

For a lot of people it's the only time they get to feel important. They get off on the mini power trip of being in control of a car and their chance to admonish people for breaking the rules of the road.

General rule - the more upset someone gets behind the wheel, the less happy they are and the less control they have over their own lives.

and being in a car, they are in a 'shell' or suit of armour.

It brings out some sort of gladitorial instinct. Sad but true.

I'm not sure that's true. Unipolar depressives are usually among the least aggressive of people.

I didn't stuff up. I pulled onto the roundabout and off the roundabout and slowed down the dick in the van who was approaching it at 60mph. It cramped his driving style.

It's because we have been starved of a World War in the traditional sense since WW2.

Too many scrotes around who would normally have been wiped out on the front line. Nature has been surpressed because of the way the world has gone. And now we're seeing the results of a fighting nation turning on itself.

The Krays were alway immaculately turned out, and look what they got up to. Wearing a smart suit doesn't affect your manners/outlook on life/ability to stab someone in the leg. Unless of course you are worried about getting blood on your tie.

Which bit of East Sussex are you in BTW?

We need to rebuild the cicus maximus then. Chav's vs Ned's... or lions.

I tend to go loony from time to time, because a 2.5 mile journey to and from work takes 45 minutes. The roads are badly potholed and people still seem to be half asleep. Some of the roads require cars to pull over, i.e. there is only room for one car to pass, but it almost always ends up with two cars edging slowly past each other. Everyone seems to have a hard on for speeding drivers but the majority of fkwits I come across don't break 20mph; they have zero concern for any other driver on the road.

I tried to say to myself that losing it and giving them an ear full won't help the situation, but if I can have a word with them, maybe just maybe, they'll wake up and start thinking about other drivers.

And they say women drivers are the better drivers? fk right off. The vast majority should not be in command of a bicycle let alone a fking car.

If it's only 2.5miles why not leave your car at work and bike it etc

Wiv respeck, you blokeyness, are you sure that you've actually moved far enough from London to get away from the big city agression? East Grinstead is Gatwick more or less, hardly the back of beyond is it?
