Since I took the hard top off, it has done nothing but rain. So you can blame the "summer" on me. I did do the worlds biggest rain dance, wash, wax and roof off in one day.

The Winter prep starts this weekend.
I have not put my fleeces and waterproofs away and the central heating went on yesterday so I am prepared for winter. This weekend I will get a load of logs for the fire and my Jesus sandals are going back into the cupboard till next year (not that they were used). The nights are drawing in so I will tart with the idea of gym membership for 3 weeks until I figure, I can ride the MTB in the rain and gyms are a boring waste of money.

So to hell with what has jokingly been called a "summer", the hard top goes back on asap.

...has been a wash out. I managed a couple of topless stints around April/May/June, the best one lasting almost 2 full weeks - not bad considering its my daily drive. The latter half of the summer have been a wash out though, very brief topless stints of an hour here and there, but thats been about it. ;o(

Couldn't agree more. I got a car with a soft top, too, thinking I'd miss the elise roof off action.

I took the hardtop off once, and that was to clean the interior frown

Still, I am going on a 3000 miles hoon around Europe on Saturday biggrinbiggrin

...then the car will be put away for the winter frown

Last time I took my old Elise out topless there was a thunderstorm. It was about a month ago. I raced the storm home because I'd left the roof behind (was a clear evening when I went out). Got back into the garage just in time. Was a memorable experience driving home in the evening, top off, lightening in the distance. Was picking up a new car the next day - very memorable last drive.

I nearly took my roof off this am. Nice and bright and the promise yesterday of a dry day today. An hour later it had turned grey and in another hour it started raining which it did for the rest of the day. Sums up this 'summer'frown
At least it stayed dry on Monday for my Walshy daybiggrin

[breathless moment]

I put sun glasses on this morning! By the time I got to Winchester, I had to take them off as I felt like a blues brother.
