Looks like it's a windscreen out job to be able to get to(to remove) the two bonnet support arms, near the windscreen scuttle panel?Has anybody done this? All advice greatfully received!smile

Can't you get access from the footwells internally Mike, guess it would be a PITA if you could but windscreen out would be ludicrous.

I reckon if your doing it from the inside, then it would be at least a dash out job,and i'm still not confident of access from this way?Either way, both the windscreen and the dash will be out before it's finished,so it's no extra work in that respect, just a little planning ahead if i know whats involved.

I think it's at least the screen out I'm afraid. There's no access I can see from the inside.

The scuttle panel is rivited in under the screen, down the sides of the inner wings and across the firewall behind the engine. I haven't removed all of this - I did just enough to reseal the whole thing when I had the screen replaced, but I suspect this is the way to remove the arms.

They are laid up in fibre glass that can crack and deteriorate, I remember talking to a dealer a few years ago about repairing the "hinge" points and it is a truly difficult job...sorry!
