audi v8 turbo

I fancy building a mid-engined car and puting an Audi V8 with twin turbos in it, hoping to get 500-600 BHP ?? has anyone done this ?? does anyone know of any companies offering this ?? Help !?!?
Also will the 6 speed Audi box take this sort of power or do i need to go Hewland/Quaife ??

Audi 6sp gearbox from S2/RS2 should handle the power, it's the torque that going to kill it though.

agreed, motorgeek is the resource for that, great site, be prepared to loose and evening or two just trawling through.

Also dont discount the possibility of a SC on the V8.

Speak to doug at MRC, he should be able to help out. Not sure how much work he's done on V8's though, he's more of an S2/S4 man. He'll probably talk you into and uprated V6 Biturbo S4 engine which will easily do 5-600bhp.

Dianlynx have done a twin turbo 4.2 S4 race car in the last 18 months or so. Their standard output of "somewhere between 600 and 800 bhp".

Jonus quattro is well documented, lots of you tube videos as well as blistering performance... with NOS from the 2.2 I5 it makes just over 1000bhp...
