Just wondering why the rear undertray that protects the engine from the road would be missing on my car? Only got it a month or so ago. Would it be left of for better cooling? or maybe the guy who had it before when he had it serviced they didnt put it back on? I cant think of any reason but its got to mess up the air flow

I was told they had to be removed after a period as the original rivets corrode and water gets in. Obviously the plan is to refix the undertray though!

The rear under tray was nether fixed with rivets,
it was held on with black posidrive screws.

It's also probably protecting hoses and the like from debris that you drive over everyday.
Personally I'd get it refitted ASAP if possible. Cooling wise though you might have a point.

Olly when you say sheet metal do you mean steel sheet, the original one would have been a good quality ally sheet, you will have a problem with the steel one rusting

Olly I had several of these made up as with all the cuts and bends it was a lot easier to do it that way.

One thing I did do was have them made out of 2mm plate, as you then can use about 100 less screws than the standard undertray.

Yea I have got 2mm on the way, are there many bends that need to go into it?
Looked to me like it was just flat?

Just 2 at either side. Not too clear in the photos, but you get the idea.
