I invested in a flip screen DVD/CD player for the car today. Fitted it in about 15 mins. Driving whilst watching top gun, love it

Will be getting a small sub, amp and front speakers in due course.

you may laugh but i got it from halfords. ripspeed dv720, it has everything and more and so easy to fit... pictures will follow. oh it was £199

I normally like to watch DVDs in the house, while sat on a comfy sofa. You must really love your tiv!

I have had one for a few years now, don't tend to watch DVD's on it much, I put all my music on a DVD and play them through it, I have around 1,000 tracks on at the moment and still have room for more.

Nice and Tidy Motor there. Good idea putting music on a DVD saves having millions of CD's in the car.
do they drain the battery or they ok? Much hassle to put in?

I tend not to use it much when the car is not running, for no other reason that if it is not running, I will not be in it, as for the installation, you must remember that there is another unit other than the head unit, this is bigger than the head unit but can be put anywhere in the car so long as it is dry, the wiring looks a nightmare but is basically all just plug in stuff, my unit is a Kenwood and will take lots of additions including, sat nav, rear camera, video, camcorder, TV, auto changer, mobile phone and a few more things that I can't remember or haven't put on it, you can run rear screens with separate sound if you want, it's a right piece of kit, the thing I don't like about it is that it has no little viewing screen on the front, so to see what you have on, you have to have the screen up, OH, and you are not aloud to play DVDs while on the move, if wired up correctly you will not be able to do this.

I have a Pioneer Avic X3 in my t350. Worth the extra dosh as it does DVDs, CD's, Ipod, navigation, phone, reversing camera. All the bells and whistles really.

I know mine isnt a good as the others above but took ten minutes to fit, took old one out, plugged new headunit in. No seperate control boxes or anything which was nice. If you just want a flip screen with a dvd player cant go worng!
