decat pipes

I have a knackered cat on my t350,so instead of spending £650 on new cats,I was thinking of getting a sports exhaust and decat pipes from tvr power.The question I have is how do you go on at MOT time with emmissions?

Just keep the cats and they can be re-fitted for the MOT or find a friendly MOT test centre that are used to working on TVR's and they may be able to sort something out

You might find that it will pass the emissions test anyway even in a de-catted state - the engine will need to be thoroughly warmed up though.

Hi had my MOT on Tuesday and it only just passed after playing about with the emissions probe in each exhaust and that was with the cats in!

I was thinking about Decat'in mine.....may have to think again.

If anybody is in need of decat pipes, I have some sitting unused in my hallway...

Purchased from ACT along with acrbon airbox but decided in the end to keep the cats. If anybody wants them PM me, happy to flog them.

Mine passed without a remap.
