I'm one of those people.

It's still a great driving experience with that 'box. Smooth engine, well balanced suspension, lots of torque and super smooth gear changes make it all rather lush.

Are these M3-based or fettled 328's?

Nothing with horrible cheap Ebay headlights ever looks 'fantastic' and I'd not wish to own an Alpina previously owned by the sort of person who thought they did. Nice and original please.

Annoyingly the Alpina Register doesn't seem to have stats on this model (or rather, I can't find them )

The fact that they're combined with an M3 rather than ALPINA front spoiler is a little concerning too...
