Hi all,

here's an question for you.

when does a fake become a replica or a replica become a fake?

http://www.stauer.com/

i have been looking at the above site and figure that these are replicas, as they dont claim to be the real thing. They also claim to make their own movements.

Has anyone bought anything from these guys?
any good experiences out there from a customer?

It would appear that some of them are replicas of long forgotten classic watches while others are just cheaply made, nondescript pieces with Chinese movements.

What he said.

Do a search for Samson Watch Co. - you'll see a lot of similar/same designs from a company that is openly Chinese, and for about a tenth the price.

In fact should anyone be interested I bought one of their "Micronic Regulators" to see what it was like, anyone can have it in exchange for the postage.
