As stated i am Best man tomorrow for my best mate who is marrying my sister. I have got my speech sorted for him but someone has just mentioned to me if i was incorperating anything about my sister in the speech.
Hmm Thats a spanner in the works i have put all the usual " looks nice la la la" but i would like to put something special in it.

Has anyone on here got any tips i was thinking along the lines of we are all very proud of you and your everything that anyone could want in a sister etc etc but other than that i'm stumped.

Has anyone been in this situation that can assist me
Any SENSIBLE replies will be appreciated

I had to give the "Father of the Bride" speech for my sis as my Dad, by then, had memory problems. In fact, I told her that if Dad wasn't doing it if she picked anyone else but me I'd be highly offended! (She's my kid sister and we've always been close).

It already sounds like you have the right idea. Think up a couple of incidents from your childhood together - anything with a funny ending. Briefly tell the stories, then mention that you could not be better pleased than to see the sis you love so well marrying a bloke you think so highly of. Job Done. Keep it short.

It short and to the point and you've already come up with it.

Do not, under any circumstances, ask your mate what he sees in her. Darkness lies that way.

How the hell are we supposed to do this, we don't even know your flaming sister!

You could mention that time you found her bent over the wheely bin outside some seedy club with 3 guys all taking it in turns on her.

I was bestman a few weeks ago my advise would be to not put too much in there really the speech is supposed to be about the groom really.

I ended up putting in a few nice funny stories about the bride and said she was pretty etc etc. But your main focus is on embarassing the groom! at you're wedding he will bite back!

Hang on.

Your best mate is marrying your sister.

This does not happen every day.

There should be a best man's dream come true as far as writing a speech is concerned. Don't worry about convention and politeness (they haven't).

Rip the piss out of both of them FFS.

You absolutely have to take the piss, it's your duty FFS!

Has the groom got a fit sister? Thank him for the swap deal for starters.....failing that the least you can do is thank him for the money he paid you for her and tell them what a difference it's made to your life...

Start with the usual about shagging the queen mother, then continue from there

Never fails.

Don't forget to mention the time you and your sister examined each others uglies in the paddling pool. Cute kid stories never fail.
