Hello All,

Just though i would warn all LS2 owners of this issue, just incase it happens to you.. (dont know if its the same on LS1)

Just parked on the drive, when i started to smell antifreeze, looked under the bonnet to find it coming from near the back of the engine. Once it had cooled down, i took the 2 heater pipes off (the ones that go to the heater in the dash and to the diverter valve on the side of the chassis). To my surprise, the pipe had been worn through its protective sleeve and made a small hole in the pipe. Very poor design and routing of the hose indeed.

Has anyone else had the same problem? Im thinking of replacing this section with a metal pipe to give it more clearance and stop it happening again.

This has come up a couple of times on here. Still worth pointing out again for new owners. Solution for me and others was a metal file to the back of the cylinder head to remove the sharp edge that was wearing the pipe.
