eek - Was the chaps name Bruce or are you just scaremongering?

Did the news say he drove a V8?

Or are you simply going off the fact that a BDO was killed?

Wasn't trying to scare monger - just concerned. I didn't catch the chaps name on the news, but I'm fairly certain he was in the RLC - same reg as BruceV8. And Bruce might not be his name - My real name isn't Rhinochopig after all

The article says the chap killed lived in Edinburgh, Bruce's profile lists London so hopefully not him.

Stories of my death are grossly exaggerated. It was Gaz O' Donnell who died. He was a very good friend of mine.

Never had my name in a PH thread title before. Shame it had to be in these circumstances.

Feck, did he drink in The World's End? (near the bottom of the Royal Mile in Edin)

He may well have done. If its the place I'm thinking of then I may have been there with him and a few mates lasy Hogmanay. He was from Edinburgh originally but having been in the army for 17 years lived away from there most of the time. His parents still live there though. Do you think you may have known him?

One BDO is braver than all the Iraqis added together.

I was in there on Hogmanay too this year (it's just a few doors down on the other side of the road from all the kilt shops and on the crossroad). Berk in the corner throwing camera lenses around (dropped one of my better ones on the stone floor irked ) I certainly knew a guy called Gaz something but I wouldn't say I knew him more than an "alright pal" when he came in the door. Dark hair, not overly tall but a bit stocky.

Regardless of whether it's the guy I know, sorry about you losing a mate.
