Ford Focus Re-call
Discussion
I just had my 56 plate ST in for some warranty work (on the seat, but I'll come to that in a bit) and it turns out there is a re-call on the power steering pump connectors, which they carried out whilst it was in. This must be a new thing as I haven't had a letter yet. I don't know if it is only on the ST's so please check on all MK2 ford Focus's if it needs doing.
Also you're warranty can be changed at any time without notice too, I bought my car new 2 years ago, and you would expect the warranty that came with the car to be the same until it expires. Not so. I was informed that the original repair to my drivers seat cross member (known fault by the way) was not covered under the Ford manufacturers warranty. Ford had kicked it back to Evans Hallshaw, who put it down to internal wastage (nice of them), todays repair (the seat developed an annoying squeak) was also done as a good will gesture on the original repair so I didn't have to fork out for it.
