Nope. Time to run. To another country.

Dont want my children growing up in this sham.

Whould British justice get any kind of power over there? I think not.

Agreed but I'd have to add an 'almost' as the time to plan for prolonged or permanent absence was signalled long ago.

As a PHer appalled at the destruction nu labia had achieved well before the decade was up (and with 2 more years to go) and equally concerned over the timescale anybody wearing a lime green tie would take to sort the place out, I contributed to several threads about the UK being, basically, a sh!thole. Watching the replies that claimed such views were all talk, I can't wait for the next such thread. The permanent exit doesn't suit, so I'll be here when I want and when it's beneficial, the rest of the time it's goodbye gordon and cheerio camoron. The only remaining hope is that the next couple of decades of Conservative government will, eventually, reverse the rot.

Not a lot of information to go on in that one article and I may be way off the mark, but it doesn't seem right to me that the Muslim courts can deliver judgement on both criminal and civil cases unlike the Jewish arrangment which appear to be just civil matters, or so it would read in the article.

To me we should have British justice and only British justice (and yes I accept it does have many flaws)deciding on those cases which are of a criminal nature. For civil cases, I don't really see a problem with it.

Like I say, I may be way off the mark on this one.

I am sure one of the lawyers/legal Pistonhead members would be better placed to provide a view on this than me.

Although the article states that this is for small cases with voluntary compliance. I sense this is just the proverbial camel's nose under the tent....no pun intended.

Once it has taken root it will be impossible to reverse, the topic, that is.

This surely sets a dangerous precedent. How did we get to the point where an elected UK government actually thinks this is a good idea?! I would have thought the majority of citizens would be opposed to this.

Incidentally, to the OP how would you suggest we take a stand?

Not trying to be difficult but just trying to understand your question.

Power to the people that is what I say, although I think the people are now the minority and as such it is flawed and too late.

Sharia courts?

When do we get the Sharia Police Force (to enforce adherence to Sharia Law),Sharia City Council, Sharia County Council, Sharia Parliament, Sharia Government?

IMHO this has the distinct possibility of one inevitable outcome.

We/our Government, egged on by years of do-gooders and PC idiots, have completely capitulated to the over zealous religious fascists within our midst.

This is the quiet cancerous below the line face of terrorists.

While our attention is drawn to the big displays of Terrorism the same ideology quietly takes footholds by stealth.

As you can imagine I feel very strongly about this but don't want to appear too provocative.
As far as I'm concerned there is in the UK only one political party who would be willing to reverse this decision and ensure we don't go down that route.

As far back as 1914 G K Chesteron predicted a Britain akin to what I fear we are becoming in his novel "The Flying Inn".

Here's a synopsis from Wikipedia

The Flying Inn is a novel first published in 1914 by G. K. Chesterton. It is set in a future England where a bizarre form of "Progressive" Islam has triumphed and largely dominates the political and social life of the country. Because of this, alcohol sales are effectively prohibited. The plot centers around the adventures of Humphrey Pump and Captain Patrick Dalroy, who roam the country in their alcohol-laden cart in an attempt to evade Prohibition, exploiting loopholes in the law to temporarily prevent the police taking action against them.

I really don't want to live in that sort of Britain so like it or not my vote will be for a BNP candidate if I have one standing in my constituency otherwise it will have to be a very poor second choice Conservative.

Sorry, but I'm in the camp that says "If you don't like this country and its laws then fk off"

This is also applied in equal measures to Brits abroad, before I get abuse about being racist.

Not to long then before non Muslim's will find themselves in those courts if you have a dispute with a Muslim.

Good luck winning that one.

And enjoy your state sanctioned Sharia punishment.

I think I'm part of that camp now!

It looks like that's becoming the best option, leg it off somewhere better before Britain really goes down the pan.

It is just truly, truly mind boggling. Is this what our government think we want, I mean is it, really? If so, then they really haven't a clue. There are no words to express this.

I'm not. I have thought about it though. To me, my final decision is to stay and to fight the rot.

This is my country, I want it back.
