International Shipping companies

I'm a bit narked with FedEX. They cost a fortune, we've done over 10K with them in the last 9 months

FedEX the service is fast and reliable, but damn we pay for it. My business currently sells direct to customers from our cottage office in Oxford. We get packages collected from site and shipped around the world. We typically process thirty 2Kg shipments/month, insured at £600ea. It costs about £40-45 to USA next day, and about £37 to Europe, even on their highest band discount. FedEX have no slower service to use to save money. There is nothing we can do to bring costs down with FedEX, no 3 or 5 day service to save cash, no higher band they'll let us on.

I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions of companies we could try and some indication of their costs/timescales to the US and Europe? Anything that collects, is reliable and <7days would be acceptable I think ;we can still use FedEX if it's a rush job.
