i have been having off and on problems with my brakes, they will be fine then suddenly it will go rock hard and it will not stop, i think it is because the electric pump "sometimes" doesnt seem to turn on.

the worst case is the pedal hit the floor doing 130mph no brakes and i pumped them and it was like the engine was off

any help welcomed, is this a common fault, how much is a electric motor if it is that

oh i have a GT3 btw

thankyou in advance

Hi,

Not Good!! The electric pump is not really an expensive part at all.. a GM sourced part, but first check pump to see if it is working. Remove a vacuum line and listen to see if the pump is working. Then pull the pump and connect to a 12 volt source, put your finger over the outlet and feel for vacuum. If none, replace the pump. Also likely to merely be a bad hose or vacuum leak, possibly a leaky booster diaphram. Good Luck. Happy Motoring! Jim'85TE
