After the Channel tunnel fire recently, do you think its worth booking a trip to France this week or will it still be chaos on the M20 and the tunnel?

The Tunnel has got very restricted passenger use at the moment. It's mainly for freight.

The M20 is closed junctions 11-12 for operation stack so that'll be busy as well.

eek Hope this clears up. I'm supposed to be going through the tunnel en-route to the 'Ring on Friday.

I've got a crossing booked for Saturday 27th. What are the chances of it being back to normal by then? I phoned Eurotunnel and they had no idea.

I just canceled a Eurostar trip on Weds as they are operating such a reduced service I had no way of knowing when I'd get to Brussels. Flying BMI instead. How I love Brussels airport (but at least I avoid T5).

T5 is ok i think. I've been about 20 times and have had no problems...

As far as the M20 goes, I've just gone from Ashford to Dover for a meeting and everything is tickety boo.
