Kinda sat nav related

Right anyway. No discussion about speeding please, but I want a Road Angel to alert me to fixed cameras, and also mobile speed traps.

Will the road angel plus (like so) do the job that I am led to believe? Or does it just alert you to "locations" of where the speed traps like to chill?

Thanks!

We have a New Road Angel (which is actually about 3 years old now!), it tells you when you're coming up to a camera, it also warns you of 'accident blackspots' which by pure chance seems to be where the scameras hang out scratchchin It also has a front and rear lasar detector on it for the 'friends' you missed!

It also updates via your PC for a fairly reasonable price. Costs approx 1.5 tickets to update for three years!

Ideal if you don't need one which has all the sat nav malarkey in it!

New RA Professional updates via GSM like your mobile phone. It does alert to mobile sites which apparently are all regulated sites but only knows if these sites are live if other users press the appropriate button on the remote control once thay have spotted it. Good database but although you can buy the continental download it doesn't update via GSM. BTW very unsatisfactory mounting system.

I have a new road angel, without the battery powered part, been fine and got it for £50, bargin!.

I've turned school alert off as it's annoying, blackspot alert is handy, notified me of every fixed camera so far!, I update every few days.

The laser part isnt very useful as said on here once they have a reading and it alerts you your stuffed, but maybe useful to pick up scatter from the car in front etc. Only problem is the magnetic mount it's not very strong and can slide off when going over deep pot holes as ive found out!.
