Veyron GT Details Emerge?

New car could have 1350bhp and 1018lb-ft of torque

It's been common knowledge for a while that there will be a faster Veyron arriving at some point, probably in the form of a limited edition run-out model. But according to reports a leaked official document now gives more detail on the 'Veyron GT'.

According to the memo the GT will basically be a standard Veyron with more power and some minor mods. The numbers being thrown around are 1,350bhp and 1,018lb-ft of torque. These new stats should make the car good for 262mph.

The document claims the car will also be fitted with upgraded carbon-ceramic brakes, a new electronic stability program, and a new active aerodynamics package. 0-60mph will take just 2.4 seconds and the car will go back to zero in 2.2 seconds. The car is expected to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March next year and apparently current owners will be able to retro-fit the mods to their standard Veyron.

The memo comes from website Nine-to-Five and is yet unconfirmed, but you can see it below.

I doubt the Bugatti employee who would pen something like this would have such atrocious grammar. It reads like a ten year old wrote it.

Would be nice though... smile

It could, the extra horsepower needed to go just a few extra mph at that level is tremendous. Not sure on the numbers though.
Still pig ugly just the same having said that.

Doubt it. Power to weight and aero are both against the Veyron. It does have practicallity and usability on its side and that you can take a friend along for the ride so real world and real roads yes the Veyron would be.

So the original car cost £5 Million a time to build (or whatever other quoted figure you decide to use) and was supposed to be a one off to prove it could be done. Then surprise surprise a new suped up version appears, presumably to be sold at an even bigger loss.

Im sorry, but that letter reads like something taken straight off a website, such as wikipedia and then some of the facts have been changed.

I highly doubt this is a genuine one off car.

Think of how much work it took to produce the original 1001bhp (8 or 10 radiators) and suddenly they can now make these engines produce 350bhp more?

I call hoax..anyone else agree?

I think that the 5 million per car was because they were spreading huge development costs over a limited number of cars. This GT will be using 95% origional Veyron parts so its development costs will be much lower.

Yes. Must be a hoax letter. Only a six year old would put "secret" on the top !

Would be a good way to send the car out, but they shouldn't have got a 9 year old to write it.

Well what can you say. Do road car cars really need so much power. What's on the EXTRA'S LIST " Wings And Landing Lights.

PLEASE. Don't get me wrong I like fast cars. But I also know when something is just OTT.
