I just got the press release but it doesn't have much info... Only this single photo

more info will be released on 1st Oct at 21.00

It doesn't look like the 560 so I'm not sure if it's the 560 spyder and it has some lines resembling the Reventon so any guesses? LP560-4 spyder / LP640 SL / LP560 SL / LP560 SV???

It is almost certainly the Murci SV which is scheduled for a Paris show debut.

well hang on, the title of the press release was "It’s not just a new Lamborghini. It’s a new world." maybe they've gone Hybrid... biggrin haha

I'll get the pics and info up on Oct 1st at 21.00 when the full press pack is released.

The SV is due at Paris in October. This chart was from 2007 and has been pretty accurate. Looks like the swansong Murci has been given Reventon style looks at the rear from the teaser pic.

Is that how much its going to be? I was told circa £300k.

Even if it is, not being the current flagship model will have an impact on price given that LP640s list over 200k. Also consider supply and demand in current market conditions. Lambo over supplied the SL many of which sat in showrooms unsold in much better market conditions. Less than 1 year later they dropped in price by over £50k. So unless this is going to be made in very small numbers I'd say yes it will affect the current value of LPs.

"In the first six months of 2008, the tradition-rich automaker located in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, has delivered 1309 cars, which represents a growth of 5,7% compared to the same period of 2007 (1238 cars).

The company also set new records in turnover and pre-tax profit.
Turnover rose by 9,6% from € 253.1 to € 277,4 million.

The pre-tax profit increased more substantially than all other key figures. Pre-tax profit has risen by 32,5% to € 35 million (€ 26,4 million for the same period in 2007)."

over supply or not, they're still going strong and they're still high in demand!

Love Lambo and my Superlegger smile

Just received this e-mail as well...not much info. So it is suppose to me a Murci, but what is an SV (2wheel-drive)??

  • 4 wheel drive (Stefan Winkelman confirmed as much several months ago when said 4WD was a key Lambo feature)
  • Lightweight construction to improve performance
  • Reventon inspired body mod's (rumour at this stage though pic of rear lower bumper section suggest this to be true)
  • Power upgrade
  • Significant price hike over the LP640
This model will be made in limited numbers as the swansong, run out model for the Mucielago series before the introduction of the all new car due either late next year or sometime in 2010.
