Live webcast from the Britcar 24hr

Hi everyone 
We're pleased to announce that you'll be able to watch live onboard video from at least two of the leading cars throughout the race, from the comfort of your armchair (assuming you can't make it to the circuit!)
Rapid TV will be streaming the whole race absolutely live and as it happens.
Keep an eye on this thread for further information and details of the webpage you'll need to navigate to.

We will endeavour to broadcast during qualifying on Friday if all goes well tomorrow. Otherwise we'll have two cars with live onboards for the duration of the race plus a couple of pitlane cameras to capture some of the action during the pitstops. We are in two of the best cars in the field so I reckon we'll get to the finish!
The Britcar site should be webcasting live commentary and timing so you should be able to have a couple of browser windows open at the same time and get the full experience!

Very good feed from the pits. At which garage is the camera positioned? Anywhere near garage 4B, Jemco Racing garage?

Edit: Worked out garage location as I've seen the Clio go into its Garage, now know where Jemco's Garage is, any chance of a zoom control!

the images, they drift apart and after a while, are a minute or more apart in terms of the 'live' image we see?
Odder still, if you hit refresh to reload, it is also newer footage than the faster of the two
original streams, so there is a delay creeping in?
Ah, I see what you mean.
The delay is caused by differences in ISP speeds, routes used to get the streaming to you and also the performance of our server and your PC. So if you have two PCs next to each, the delay could be different.
Refreshing the browser or closing it and opening it again will reset the connection and you'll get it with the least amount of delay.
This is still a 'proof of concept' so depending on the number of connections we get, it's possible our server may slow down a bit. We'll have to see over the weekend...

We had some delays setting up yesterday so I don't think we'll be able to webcast morning qualifying. We are working flat out to ensure the race coverage is good and we'll try and get night qualifying (8pm-10pm) up.

Sorry everyone, we were really doing this mainly for testing purposes and with very little in the way of resources at the track or back up if anything failed.
