I'm getting vibration from the Cerb.Starts at about 90mph,and is still there at about 150mph.Any ideas?.Ive had the wheels balanced. But to be honest it feels transmission based,i.e bent drive shaft,or an out of balance prop.Anyone know where the balance weights on the prop are located??.And has anyone else had this problem, and what were the findings.

When I was doing my clutch , I noticed my propshaft had some small 'patches' of metal welded to the side. Not sure if that might be how they balance it.

Indeed it issmileYou could find balance weights anywhere along the tube of the shaft.Look for any different coloured small square or rectangular, patches as a sign of one having fallen off.

Not much help to you, but I get this too. From about 70mph, but stops around 165mph if we're cornering tongue out

I have had wheels rebalanced, no change. Interested to watch this thread, because it's very annoying.....(not the thread, the vibration rolleyes )

I was looking for the small tack welded plates, but couldnt see them.I will put it up on the ramp in the morning, and have a proper look.

They would have to be quite seriously bent to effect it, the tyre will still seat level with bends in, one of my rears had a slight bend in, but was fine at an indicated 200mph.
Slack U/J? try up and down not sliding, as they are meant to. Prop bolts could be looked at whilst there too. I use Dave Mac in Coventry for props, so can vouch for him.

So far i've checked the tyres.Need extra balance weights to the front, which probably suggests buckled wheel or out of shape tyre.I've also checked the diff bushes. No movement in them, and the diff is solid, with no bearing noise.

If its front you would feel steering wheel shake, beware who balances them, bigger the wheel the better the person/equipment must be. I had mine done recently and had to have them redone by someone else, it went through a vibration at 90mph, it transpires my wheels were 40grams out, even though they had been done by the previous tyre centre.

I must admit, the vibration doesnt seem to be coming from the front, but the rear. Will have a look at the prop bolts, and check the UJ,s.

No.But it does get worse the more speed you pile on.If that helps.
